Welcome to Troop 2054!
MAS Boy Scouts is a program designed to help our youth develop leadership, citizenship, survival, and outdoor skills. Additionally, scouting instills moral values and shapes a boy's character to become a good productive citizen and learn to give back to their community.
Our Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are registered with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA); we follow the BSA curriculum and ranking requirement with a flavor of Islamic Mannerism and Character Development [Tarbiya]; all in a fun and safe Islamic environment.
Our Troop is "boy-led" which means that the young men of our Troop take part in leading the Troop in the direction that they want it to go and making the decisions that they see fit. The adult volunteers and parents are there to make sure the Scouts are safe and responsible in their activities.
Troop 2054 encourages its boys to participate in many activities ranging from camping to community service. The boys are encouraged to participate in service projects as a way to let the boys give back to the community and instill good values.
From the months of August through May our Troop has campouts almost every month. During the campouts the boys participate in a range of activities such as team building exercises long distance hikes.
Troop 2054 meets Sundays from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM at the MAS Center in Richardson
